Scott Nie

Graduate Student

Scott joined the Narang Lab in the winter of 2022 as a graduate student. He received his B.S. in Chemical Biology and B.A. in Mathematics at the University of California, Berkeley. At Berkeley, Scott worked as an undergraduate researcher in the Whaley group, studying quantum error correction and investigating improvements to topological codes. He is interested in all topics related to quantum information science.

Now at UCLA, Scott will continue to research in quantum information science, primarily developing new quantum algorithms for computational chemistry applications.

Outside of the lab, Scott loves to watch anime, play games, and drink too much boba.
