Chitraleema is currently an assistant professor at the University of Delaware in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering. In the Narang lab she focused on investigating the influence of applied strain on the electronic and optical properties of two-dimensional materials using tools from optical spectroscopy and first-principles methods. She received her Ph.D. in Materials Science in 2018 under the supervision of Professor Nick Vamivakas at The Institute of Optics, University of Rochester, New York.
