Joseph joined the Narang Lab in the fall of 2022 as a Ph.D. student. He received his B.S. in Physics and Mathematics from Florida State University in 2020, and his M.S. in Physics from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2022. Joseph has broad interests across quantum information science, including quantum algorithm development, simulation of open quantum systems, and quantum control. He is a fellow through the NSF Quantum Research Traineeship. Joseph is passionate about science education, and in 2021 was recognized as an Outstanding Teaching Assistant by the UCLA Physics department. In addition, he works as an instructor for Qubit by Qubit, a nonprofit organization educating the next generation of quantum scientists. Outside of work, he loves rock climbing, playing beach volleyball, and hiking.
