Jonathan Sanchez
Graduate Student
Jonathan Sanchez joined the UCLA Physics Department in Fall 2022 after earning a B.S. in Physics and Pure Mathematics earlier that year. In Spring 2024, he began working with the Narang Lab, where his research focuses on condensed-matter theory, with a particular interest in exciton pairing in spatially separated TMD bilayers. He collaborates closely with Ze-Xun Lin on this work. During his time at the University of Michigan, Jonathan contributed to the Fermilab g-2 experiment, where he developed “probe dropping” techniques to improve the precision of magnetic field measurements.
Beyond the lab, Jonathan is passionate about dancing, especially LA-style Salsa.
