Prof. Yaxian Wang
Assistant Professor, Institute of Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences
Yaxian Wang is a postdoctoral fellow in Professor Narang’s group at Harvard University. She is aiming at understanding transport properties and nonequilibrium dynamics in type-II Weyl semimetals using both ab-initio tools and higher level physical models. She also has a keen interest in prediction of new topological materials with exotic functionals in order to harness topological states in energy-relevant technologies.
Yaxian received her Ph.D. in materials science and engineering in Fall 2019 under supervision of Prof. Wolfgang Windl at the Ohio State University. Her thesis focuses on functional properties of novel 2D and layered materials from first principles.
