Dr. William Munizzi
William joined the NarangLab in the Summer of 2024 as a Postdoctoral Scholar. His research surrounds mathematical aspects of quantum information and quantum gravity, with a primary focus on entanglement, quantum algorithms, quantum sensing, and error correction. Additionally, he is interested in quantum magic, high-energy physics, quantum optimal control, complexity theory, error-mitigation, and von Neumann algebras. Before joining the NarangLab, he received his Ph.D. in Physics from Arizona State University under Cynthia Keeler.
William is passionate about science policy and outreach. He is Chair-Elect of the American Physical Society (APS) Forum on Graduate Student Affairs (FGSA), an APS Career Mentorship Fellow, and Advocacy Champion for the APS GrassTops program. Outside of science he enjoys sports, travel, hiking, and cooking.
