Arka Sengupta received his Ph.D. in 2017 (at Indiana University−Bloomington) working on fragmentation-based quantum chemistry methods and energy decomposition methods on anion-bound macrocycles. In his postdoctoral research, he grew expertise in biomolecular simulations, developed new force-fields for simulations of metalloproteins in Prof. Kenneth Merz’s group (2017–2019; at Michigan State Univ.) and performed computer-aided enzyme design in Prof. Ken Houk’s group (2019–2022; at UCLA). Currently, he is developing quantum algorithms and designing novel quantum materials in Prof. Prineha Narang’s group at UCLA.
