Prof. Dominik Maximilian Juraschek

Assistant Professor of Physics at Tel Aviv University

Dominik investigates dynamical states of matter that emerge when the atoms in a solid are vibrationally excited. In his research, he uses a combination of first-principles calculations and phenomenological modeling to describe the nonlinear phonon dynamics and interactions that arise from the excitation. He was a postdoctoral fellow in the Narang Lab, supported by an Early Postdoc.Mobility grant of the Swiss National Science Foundation. He obtained his PhD in 2018 under the supervision of Nicola Spaldin at ETH Zurich in Switzerland.
